Strabismus is the misalignment or "crossing" of the eyes.  It can be present from birth or become apparent later in adulthood.

Above is shown a typical adult patient with strabismus.

Strabismus in children is usually best treated by a pediatric ophthalmologist.  However, in adults, it can be treated with simple surgery most often in an outpatient setting with very good results.
