What is a glaucoma specialist?

A glaucoma specialist is an Eye M.D. (Ophthalmologist) who not only cares for routine eye problems, but has also completed additional fellowship training specific to glaucoma. 

 This means that a glaucoma specialist such as Dr. Vincent can treat a wide spectrum of glaucoma both medically and surgically.  Not everyone who is an eye doctor is a glaucoma specialist and not everyone who claims to be a glaucoma specialist is fellowship trained. 

   Dr. Vincent is one of only a few fellowship-trained glaucoma specialists in Louisiana and is the only fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist in Northeast and North Central Louisiana.
